Call Center-Transportation Requests
Work at home using your phone, computer and internet access; return calls to clients and schedule drivers to provide transportation to and from medical or social service office appointments; phone hours vary, but must be available M-F 9:30AM to 5PM.
Driver-Client Transportation*
Drive clients to and from medical or social service office appointments; driving hours vary M-F 8AM to 5PM. Drivers select only those rides they want to take.
Driver-Donation Pickup *
Deliver donations to the pantry from local area donors or events. Must be comfortable carrying items to and from your vehicle; hours vary M-F or weekends as needed.
Driver-Food Delivery *
Deliver food from the pantry to clients. Must be comfortable carrying bags of groceries to and from your vehicle; driving hours vary M,W,F late afternoons.
Pantry-Food Bagger **
Pack grocery bags for clients to pickup at the pantry. Must be comfortable lifting and moving bags of groceries into carts or onto shelves; hours vary M-F 2PM to 4PM.
Pantry-Food Distributor**
Hand out pre-bagged groceries to clients at the pantry. Must be comfortable lifting and moving bags of groceries from shelves to the pantry window; hours vary M-F 4PM to 8PM.
Pantry-Food Receiver **
Receive food at the pantry from donors; may require heavy lifting. Must be comfortable carrying donated items to designated areas of the pantry; hours vary M-F 12PM to 8PM.
Pantry-Food Stocker **
Sort, date-check and place products on shelves or other designated pantry areas; hours vary M-F 4PM to 8PM or weekends.
Seasonal Events
Choose to participate in one or more events, e.g. Active Aging Expo, Homeless Resource Day, etc. We will email you prior to an event opportunity.
Sponsor a Food Drive
Organize and sponsor an event at your workplace to help stock the pantry.
SSL Hours
To earn SSL hours, students may organize a Food Drive sponsored by their school club, athletic team, or youth group. Students may also work at the food pantry with an adult (typically a parent) volunteering with them.
