Gaithersburg HELP Receives Donation from Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation
Gaithersburg, Maryland – Gaithersburg HELP has received $1,500 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help feed neighbors in their time of need. Gaithersburg HELP will use the gift to purchase nutritious food for distribution to needy families at risk of hunger and food insecurity.
Margo Goldman, Gaithersburg HELP’s Executive Director, said, “This generous grant will help us address the rising cost of food and the impact this is having on low-income families in the Greater Gaithersburg community. We sincerely appreciate the support we have received from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation over the years.”
The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting families facing food insecurity across its 10-state footprint. Established in 2001, the foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding local neighbors in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded nearly $17 million in grants.
